Kaizen Kosher is a storyteller, cultural architect, and literacy advocate who writes at the intersection of imagination, resistance, and identity.

Growing up, Kosher learned early that the mind could travel farther than circumstance. Through books, films, and lucid dreams that felt as real as waking life, imagination became both refuge and survival tool. That tension between the worlds we escape into and the realities we wake up to became the foundation of The Backpackers.

Later in life, working behind the scenes in professional sports, Kosher witnessed firsthand how systems of access, branding, and power operate who gets inside the gates and who’s left outside them. Those experiences sharpened a lifelong question that now drives their work: Who controls culture, and at what cost to the human spirit?

The Backpackers is Kosher’s literary debut and the first installment in the Paper Wings series. Blending dystopian fiction with social commentary, the series explores technology, music, memory, and free will through the eyes of young protagonists fighting to stay human in a controlled world.

Beyond writing, Kosher is deeply committed to youth literacy, creative ownership, and community empowerment. Through school partnerships, public readings, and cultural programming, their mission is to help young people reclaim imagination as a form of freedom and to remind readers of all ages that stories are not just entertainment, but tools for survival.
